Turning Point - Zephyr   Art and Photography Project
Many individuals attending Zephyr were experienced artists and the organisation decided to use the project to provide opportunities for development and upgrade materials. Apart from screen printing, spray painting and model making they created plaster hand casts from alginate moulds and masks using hessian and ModRoc plaster bandage. Individuals worked freely but often needed to support each other during the process.
Graffiti, cartoons, outsider/raw art, work using found objects, the influence of the music industry and culture were shared areas of interest and discussion. There were no requirements to produce theme or medium focused work but leading on from the discussions and the opportunity to contribute to a Recovery Walk exhibition powerful work emerged.
